BioDiversity Fellow Leadership Development Program

Expanding Diverse Talent Pipelines in the Life Sciences.

Multicultural professionals in the life sciences face a distinct set of challenges due to the organizational hierarchy, highly specialized nature of roles, and prolonged path to executive leadership. The BioDiversity Fellows Program equips mid-career professionals with the tools and industry expertise to anticipate and excel as they navigate these dynamics.

Who Should Consider This Program?

The curriculum is best suited for leaders in the life sciences field. Admission to the BioDiversity Fellows Program is limited to a select group of America’s most promising professionals of color from life sciences industries and medical fields, as selected by their supervisor.

THE BIODIVERSITY FELLOWS EXPERIENCE.

Industry Focused Sessions

Each class will meet in remote monthly development sessions, February-December, designed and facilitated by experts and reputable faculty. The curriculum utilizes tools such as EQi and Myers Briggs assessments and addresses the most salient challenges in the field and strategies for accelerating the path to leadership roles.

Executive Coaching

Between sessions, BioDiversity Fellows receive both individual and cohort executive coaching to apply their learning. Participants engage in concentrated analysis and problem solving of real-world challenges with this assigned cohort of six peers and a distinguished coach, specializing in life science’s leadership coaching through a multicultural lens.

Manager Engagement

Our programs feature the unique element of reaching beyond the class of participants to prepare their managers to succeed as leaders of diverse teams. Adapted sessions prepare participants’ direct managers to champion employees in their career development and introduce best practice frameworks for creating and leading diverse, high performing teams.

“Participating in the Partnership program was a life changing experience. I am from Ghana, West Africa, and attending the Partnership sessions helped me to recognize cultural blind spots and deepen my understanding of what leadership is looking for. This resulted in my promotion and our organization has consistently increased our number of nominees each year since.”
