THE NGE EXPERIENCE.

This program is designed to serve as a transformational experience for the next generation of executives. Industry leaders and distinguished faculty dive into subject areas including emotional intelligence, developing a leadership brand, leading with diversity in a global context, crisis leadership, strategic innovation, and resiliency. Blending faculty-led sessions, insights from thought leaders, executive coaching, and a cohort-driven experience, the curriculum provides participants with a strengthened ability to influence and lead in their organizations and thrive as resilient and innovative leaders at the executive level.

Who Should Consider This Program?

NGE is designed to serve as a launchpad for experienced leaders of color recognized for their executive potential. The curriculum is best suited to professionals preparing to transition from operational oversight to strategic leadership roles, typically at the Director-level and above. NGE welcomes the nation’s most promising leaders across all industries and is open to a national network of participants.

Our leadership development program curriculum is thoughtfully designed to address the most common leadership challenges faced by professionals of color in a supportive learning environment, and are welcoming to professionals from all backgrounds who feel they would benefit from the programs and who are committed to growing their leadership with purpose and impact.

Immersion Week: Tuesday, October 14 – Friday, October 17, 2025 (Virtual)

  • Four full days of virtual live sessions focused on developing self-awareness as a leader
  • Insights from personalized assessments including emotional intelligence and personal brand
  • Daily faculty-led sessions on emotional intelligence, leading with diversity in a global context, Race, Work & Leadership seminar, leadership brand management workshop, and strategic frameworks for innovation
  • Introduction to executive coach and cohort

Coaching Incubator: October 2025-April 2026
1-2 Hours monthly as scheduled by participants

  • Concentrated analysis and problem solving of real-world challenges with an assigned executive coach and cohort of cross-industry peers
  • Four cohort sessions led by executive coach
  • Three individual executive coaching sessions
  • Coaching engagement with participants in The Partnership’s early- and mid-career leadership programs

Resiliency Capstone Retreat – April 2026 (In Person, Virtual Option)

  • 2.5 Day of live sessions hosted in-person, virtual option available
  • Format includes a combination of lectures and structured opportunities for networking and relationship development
  • Sessions with national thought leaders and experts focused on equipping participants with tools for resiliency and developing a playbook to lead and advance within their organizations at the executive level
  • Introduction to alumni experience including matching NGE participants with high-visibility Board leadership opportunities and online community Hub for continued networking
