About the Role

This role is designed to support the financial accounting and reporting requirements of certain subsidiaries of Loomis Sayles. The position will report to the Assistant Controller, International for Loomis Sayles.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate various work streams with counter parties, ensuring that supporting documentation (invoices, wire requests, approvals, etc.) is delivered timely and in accordance with policy
  • Assistant with the monthly close process, including preparing closing, accrual, intercompany, and other entries
  • Prepare billing for intercompany and affiliate charges
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L trending analysis
  • Assist with preparing internal management financial reporting on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
  • Assist with preparing financial reports and capital requirement calculations for certain subsidiaries to meet regulatory reporting requirements
  • Assist external auditors with annual audits of Loomis Sayles subsidiaries
  • Prepare P&L forecast and budget of certain subsidiaries
  • Assist with preparation of other accounting deliverables for Loomis Sayles certain subsidiaries
  • 2-3 days per week work in the office 

 

Qualifications & Education Requirements 

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance with CPA certification a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting firm and/or Corporate Finance, preferably in the Asset Management industry or a Technology operation.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS requirements
  • Technologically savvy with MS Excel skills and Infor experience is a plus
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt in dynamic environment and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated consistency in meeting deadlines with quality work product
  • Effective communication skills and ability interact with internal and external parties
