Fellows

The Fellows Program trains mid-career professionals how to expand their leadership capacity.

Like all of our training services, the Fellows Program plays a critical role in maintaining professional diversity. Three-quarters of our program graduates credit The Partnership with influencing their decision to stay in Boston.

Participants. Asian, Black, Latino, Native American or South Asian professionals, employed by a Greater Boston organization, with a minimum ten years experience. Most participants are seasoned managers; all are demonstrated leaders within their companies.  Click here to meet the Class of 2008, the most diverse to date.

Content. Training topics include:

  • Learning to Lead Others
  • Discovering Your Personal Brand
  • Influence Skills and Strategies
  • Negotiating and resolving conflict
  • Managing Workplace Relationships

All trainings involve interactive discussion, hands-on learning, networking, personal brand evaluation, and small group discussions that cross industry, racial, cultural and ethnic lines. Trainings kick off with emotional intelligence and conflict management sessions using BarOn EQ and Thomas Kilman tools.  Fellow's managers join them for two trainings.

Professional and mentoring relationships established through the Fellows Program prove invaluable throughout participants' careers.

Timeframe. Fellows meet monthly, beginning with a January Orientation and concluding with a December Culmination Ceremony and Conference.
