 Rx for Change
In 2007, The Partnership launched a qualitative research initiative to examine what stands in the way of advancing professionals of color to top leadership roles in healthcare.
We found that, while important progress has been made in key areas, Massachusetts is far from the 30% “tipping point” of representation that organizational experts agree is necessary to enact lasting change.
In May, 2008, The Partnership released its findings and recommendations at Rx for Change: A Talent Management Summit. Attended by over 125 health care leaders, the summit helped to shine a light on embedded practices that too frequently prevent professionals of color from reaching the top. The summit also presented the Rx for Change necessary to change that. At the heart of The Partnership’s recommendations was a call for a new paradigm of talent management, one that breaks down silos, redefines leadership and recognizes excellence among professionals of color.
