It is time for a new conversation about research.

The Partnership’s research division takes a fresh look at what it takes to advance professionals of color. We believe that business and thought leaders understand the challenges. What’s missing are the solutions.

We’re offering some new ones.

Our research gets to the root of a challenge and examines it from the perspective of both professionals of color and employers--all against the backdrop of today’s global economy. Then, we craft innovative recommendations that are broad enough to inspire a new dialogue, yet practical enough to be applied in the workplace.

Research streams include the following:

Community.  Very little research looks at interactions among different multicultural communities. The Partnership is closing that informational gap by examining the rich value-add that occurs when multicultural professionals connect with each other.

Professional. Our research looks at professionals of color from both industry and career-stage perspectives.  Current work includes an examination of new strategies to advance senior multicultural professionals in health care.  Future work will offer new solutions to keep entry- and mid-career stage professionals in the career pipeline.            

Civic. In a joint project with The Boston Foundation, The Partnership has launched the Expanding Board Leadership Initiative.  Targeting Greater Boston nonprofits, the initiative provides nonprofits with best practices for board diversification and connects multicultural professionals to board leadership roles. Activities include organizational surveys, best practice summits, prospect screening and on-going data analysis.  If you are a non-profit that would like more information, please click here
